Here a family welcomes you

Vineyard residence

An Alsatian family open to the world

Samuel Klur left his village of Wangen an der Aahr in Switzerland for Alsace in the mid-17th century. His descendants, all winegrowers, put down roots in Katzenthal, and welcoming travelers has always been part of the family tradition. When Clément and Francine created VIGNOBLE KLUR in 1999, using organic and biodynamic methods, they were naturally offering a tourism experience in symbiosis with vines and wine and their commitment to the living world. An atypical place takes shape.

As a result, an eco-tourism and wine-tourism offer has been taking shape since 2000, well ahead of its time. Solar hot water, sorting, composting, natural materials for construction and maintenance of accommodation, recycling of furniture, short circuits and local partnerships are all part of our daily routine, which we share with our guests.

In 2018, with our daughter Elisa training to become a goldsmith, we are embarking on “joyful degrowth” to get back to basics: a 2-hectare pocket estate, a mixed accommodation offer combining short and long stays. Premises are freed up for friendly activities. In 2020, Elisa, back in the village, creates a hybrid profession: winemaker-plastician, and a Tack&Glou identity. Artistic creation becomes even more important, and other artists and one-off events are welcomed from 2024 onwards. . Travelers, vacationers and locals alike benefit from this diversity.
