Sébastien Grethen’s Bredele & Co troupe and director Emilie Wiest are preparing a promising adaptation of Patrick Kermann’s The Great Disaster, the story of an Italian migrant who comes down from the Friuli mountains to live the American dream. Giovanni Pastore, an “unregistered” third-class passenger on the Titanic, will find a job on the most famous of transatlantic liners: as a dishwasher, cleaning the 3,177 dessert spoons of first-class passengers!
Yet another way of exploring the theme of our collective Katz&co: links to place. Here, a human migrating on a shipwreck….. It’ll be at Klur’s on May 21 and 24, 2026. And all your spoons are welcome!
