Stay in a large holiday home 10 to 14 people on the Klur wine estate

Wine country tourism at Klur’s.The vineyard house was built at the end of the 19th century on an ancient foundation. It's a typical winemaker's house with basement cellars, living area on the first floor and a huge attic. At the time each family, in addition to their vines, also cultivated the meadows and fields in vegetable gardens for their own needs and had access to several orchards for fruit and making eau de vie. Each house had several animals, an ox for hard work, some cows, one or two pigs, and some chickens. Even though the ox, cows, and pigs have disappeared from our house, the chickens are still there for your fresh eggs in the morning and of course the rooster for the alarm clock.

Wine and food. You will enjoy the suites for 2 and 4 people with private bathrooms, the large living room downstairs with its fireplace, dining and sitting, A kitchen will help you to try the local receipes (we may help you for this or organise some cooking workshops). Entrance, sittingplace, library, sauna area, laundry are at your disposal, also bicycles and a lot of good ideas for visits, tastings etc.

Katzenthal is one of the very rare villages in Alsace to be located at the end of the road. At the foot of the Trois Epis spa, a well-known pilgramage site, in the heart of Alsace and just outside of Colmar, this village preserves its rural character. Lovers of peace and quiet come here, attracted by this unique valley, by the superb south-west facing hillsides, and by the fortified chateau ruins surrounded by vines.

Wine and bike, wine and ski… There is so much to do here for large families or little groups of friends, bicycling on the cycling paths or hiking (als paths starting at the house), visit the wine route, cultural heritage, typical villages, middle age castles. If you are looking for aktiv holidays we will give you the addresses you need (skiing, swimming, mountainbiking, Nordic walking, paragliding, watersports etc).
