Authentic Eco tourism in France. In the Franche Comte this time, on the magnificent plateau of 1000 ponds close to the Vosges Mountains, at 700 meters (2200 ft) of altitude. An old comtoise farm, isolated but without further ado, on a small hill facing south, just above a string of trout ponds… It was Marie and Gustave's house, then abandoned.

Renovated with care in 2003, the materials used are organic. Water comes from the source of the Frene fountain and is heated by solar panels. Heat is provided by a wood stove. The walls are stuccoed and whitewashed, and the floors are either stone or wood. You are two families who are friends and no longer have lots of time to see each other ? You are looking for a place to vacation with your parents ? With brothers and sisters? You want to go into the country to play music, do some painting?

So-for your nature vacation, try this adventure at the heart of the Parc Regional des Ballons des Vosges, in this village of 70 inhabitants spread out among several hamlets, 7 of which are considered part of the "village". The high point of the plateau, Beulotte Saint Laurent, is also the church, the snack-bar at Gaby's place and the wood-fired boulangerie. This is really living!
